How to get NIMC number and How to link your SIM cards with NIN?
Network providers in Nigeria have unveiled various steps their subscribers can adopt to link their SIM cards with the National Identification Number (NIN).
The development comes after a recent directive by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) that all SIM cards without NIN will be blocked from December 30, 2020.
It also comes after the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) announced that Nigerians could check their NIN on phone by dialing *346#.
Using the following steps below, you can link your phone numbers with NIN.
MTN subscribers
If you’re an MTN subscriber, take the following steps:
Dial *785# using the phone number you wish to link, enter your NIN, and submit.
Alternatively, dial *785#Your NIN# from the phone number you wish to link. The number will be linked to your NIN automatically.
There’s yet another way to go about it for MTN subscribers. Simply visit here using your phone or computer.
Complete the NIN linking form on the page by imputing your details which include name, phone number, NIN, and email address.
After completing the form, submit it and wait for feedback.
You can then check your NIN status by dialing *346# on your phone to confirm if the number has been linked.

It is important to note that you are expected to go with your NIN and SIM pack. You can as well call the customer care line of your service provider for further clarification.
9mobile has recently announced that “it is making effort to develop a system that would make things simple for its customers.”
To check your NIN status on your 9mobile SIM, simply dial *346# to confirm if your phone number has been linked.
