North Korea warns the US that it is up to them to decide the kind of christmas gift they get this December as the deadline set by North Korea to finalize nuclear talks with the US approaches.
The supreme leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un, on Wednesday was pictured with all his close associates making a surprise trip to a sacred mountain on white horse back.
North Korea’s official News agency, the Korean Central News Agency released many photos on Wednesday showing Kim riding a horse to snow-covered Mount Paektu ( the highest peak on the Korean Peninsula, ) along with his wife and other top lieutenants, all on white horses.
Kim who climbed the mountain, in mid-October, has made previous visits to the mountain before making major decisions as the Kim family see the mountain and white horses as important symbols.
Kim speaking on the mount said “we should always live and work in the offensive spirit of Paektu,” according to KCNA.
“The imperialists and class enemies make a more frantic attempt to undermine the ideological, revolutionary and class positions of our party.”
Ri Thae Song, North Korea’s vice minister of foreign affairs in charge of relations with the United States on Tuesday warned Trump that his recent calls for more talks is “nothing but a foolish trick hatched to keep the DPRK bound to dialogue and use it in favor of the political situation and election in the U.S.,” Reuters.
“The DPRK has done its utmost with maximum perseverance not to backtrack from the important steps it has taken on its own initiative,” Ri said in his statement. “What is left to be done now is the U.S. option and it is entirely up to the U.S. what Christmas gift it will select to get.”
